Marine Scaffolding Project

SuRi at the Gold Coast Marina

A proven track
record for success

We might be new to the marine industry, but we are already making a big impact on the Queensland Super Yacht community.

SuRi at the Gold Coast City Marina is one of our success stories.
In early 2020, we joined forces with Liquid Yacht Support, Layher Train, and Layher All Round to perform works on the luxury super yacht, SuRi.

The challenge

This 63.4 metre commercial expedition vessel required a new paint job, and because of its shape and size and the owner’s desire to keep it in the water, it presented an incredible challenge for the scaffolding industry.

Working with our project partners we rose to meet the challenge – designing and delivering a cantilevered scaffold around the entire vessel while it was safe ‘at home’, berthed at the Gold Coast City Marina with no impacts on neighbouring vessels.

We worked with the Marina throughout the planning and construction phases and with the City of Gold Coast council on the necessary environmental protection plan.

Supporting the success of others

Congratulations to the Gold Coast City Marina

On winning the Super Yacht Australia Industry Project/Design Manufacturer of the Year award at the 2020 Australian Super Yacht Industry Awards.

In this win, the Marina acknowledged the skills and professionalism of our team and the scaffolding of SuRi as an unprecedented innovation in Australia’s marine industry.

We are proud to be part of SuRi’s on-the-water restoration and to support the Gold Coast City Marina in its award-winning contribution to the Australian Super Yacht industry.
